I would like to say a big thankyou to all the ACWS members that attended the Spetchley Park event this weekend. I personally valued the cooperation from both Federal and Confederate members, for the gate guards, the drill and firing displays and the friendly atmosphere generated by all. It was a great shame that more members did not attend, as this event has so much potential, and the Worcester Reenactors, who organise the event, love what we do. Even with limited numbers.

Hopefully we will be invited back again next year, as I for one would rather see this event as the closing event of our season. Such a great site, with a fantastic backdrop, and even better company.

The information I have is that the October event will not happen next year, but will be replaced by an event in August. This will be on a grander scale and all groups that were involved in the smaller events have an invitation to attend and to be a part of an inaugral show.

Hi Andy, Is there any chance we could make a appearance at Spetchley park next year, you and others have done the ground work in attending there end of season events for a few years now, and i have heard only good things about Spetchley.
I do believe they are running this on what at best could be called a shoe string budget, so i would think we would have to pay more for this event than a normal weekend.
This is a area of England where we do not get many events, but have quite a few members, it would be good to show them what acws can do at its best.

Yours Gary
