A good weekend, for the most part, meeting 'old' friends from other periods. Once again ACWS entered the 'who can make the biggest bangs competition' with great aplomb. Two good battle displays, although we could not see a lot from our position the destruction of the battlefield camp was spectacular. Our remote position meant that the only way we could recieve our fire control orders was via the US Signal Corps. Thanks to Lt. Bond and his boys for being Battery B's 'fall guys' during the Artillery display - sorry we hurried you !
It is a shame that a such a good event is left with black clouds hanging over it. Some peoples abiding memory of this event will not be a good one. I fervently hope that a happier conclusion is rapidly achieved.
